Artificial Intelligence in the art world is probably more bad than good, but I think there may be a few ways it can help us. There are a number of Cardinals jerseys we have never seen physical samples of, only B&W photographs from the years it existed. Like 1922 for example, the first year of the Birds on the Bat is the holy grail of uniforms, but we don’t even know if there is physical sample in existence. We only can rely on black and white photography and how well we drew the logo from those photos. What if we could get a better look at it?
Because we know how other jerseys around that era look, maybe there’s a way to use A.I. to combine textures of physical samples we have with computer graphics we’ve drawn. So, I tried it out! I took a lot of different sample pictures of other chainstitch embroidered jerseys and tried to get A.I. to make me a 1922 chain stitch embroidered logo. We failed miserably. Check it out, click images to expand. And if you know how to mess with AI, let us know, we want to see some never before seen chain stitched logos.
