Uni-Watch got the scoop this morning about the 2024 Batting Practice Caps. The caps are yet to appear on MLB shop or on New Era’s website as of ~11AM Central time. Here is the Cardinals BP cap shown in the Uni-Watch lineup.
Ah. Finally. A Classic look. I like the look of this cap a lot, and I only have one minor issue with it. The STL is outlined with a navy blue that is only slightly different in color than the cap’s crown. If they were trying to go for a classic look similar to the caps worn in the 1940s and 1950s, then they should have just used a red STL with no outline on it whatsoever. A single STL emblem with no outline is cleaner and more classic in my opinion.
But other than that, I think it looks very good. The STL is stitched nicely, the logo is accurate, color combo is great and harkens to old Cardinals tradition.
