Last night the Cardinals wore their Armed Forces garb. We already knew this was going to be worn this weekend because the hats and socks have been available for purchase online for a while now, but last night was the official on field rollout. And presumably as teams have done in previous seasons, they’ll be wearing this gear the entire weekend.
Here’s how it looked on the field and on TV, I got some screenshots from last night’s game, see below, and photos from the merchandise websites as well.

This is the third consecutive year with a different camouflage design and different patch to be worn for Armed Forces Day, and that’s if you don’t include the Memorial Day camo designs from years past. But if you do want to include that, starting in 2008 the Cardinals and Major League Baseball began this desecration for Memorial Day and Independence Day and have essentially come up with a new design each year since, marking 17 years and 17 different designs.
Vanity is the most important part of philanthropy. So get out there and support the men and women of the United States Military, both dead and alive, by purchasing some camouflage merchandise.

How does purchasing the camouflage merch sold by Major League clubs support the military?

The sad part is, it doesn’t support the military. Paul Lukas posted a good story about it on Uni-Watch from 2019, here’s a link to that story: https://uni-watch.com/2019/05/23/talking-memorial-day-uniforms-with-nick-francona/
