The Cardinals are in Queens this afternoon, April 19, dressed in their blue alternates for the first time this season. This is the first official road game on a Saturday for the redbirds because their only other previous road Saturday game so far, scheduled for April 5 in Boston, was rained out.
Curiously, the Cardinals did not wear their blue alternates in the one of the double header games on Sunday April 6. In past seasons the Cardinals have worn two different uniforms for makeup double headers, but not this season. That begs the question whether or not Nike/Fanatics even had the uniforms ready to go for the April 5 game.
