Happy Father’s Day today. Before we jump in, this Cardinals Uniform project exists because of the hard work from my own father, and my father and I have been working together on this Cardinals Uniform project for the past 12 or so years.
Now for the uniforms. Similarly to Mother’s Day this year, MLB has been using significantly less special occasion uniform elements for parental days in comparison to previous years. Besides the bats, shoes, armbands, arm guards, shin guards, chest projectors, and all of the other gear players wear these days, the only official elements changed on the uniforms are the socks, and a small blue cancer ribbon patch on the chest.
The socks worn today are identical to the Mother’s Day socks worn last month, but instead of pink, they are blue.
