For all of the the Cardinals legends who have passed away, their memorial patches on the uniform have been color coded to match the uniform fabric. We’ve seen four different patches for four different uniform fabrics, white, cream, gray, and blue. But now with the addition of the City Connect, the Cardinals will be color coding the Herzog patch a fifth way to match the new red jerseys.
The patch will have a maroon colored ring with a red background, and the numbers 24 rendered in white instead of red.
The Cardinals City Connect uniform is already slated to have a patch on both sleeves, the advertiser on one sleeve and the new Fleur de Lis Arch STL patch on the other sleeve. So the question is, where will the Herzog memorial patch be placed? Will the advertising mark be placed under or over the Herzog patch? Will the advertising mark be moved to the chest? Maybe they can put it on top of the Nike logo. Yet to be seen, but we should know more by the end of the weekend.
