The 1907-1908 Cardinals had ST. LOUIS lettering arched across their jerseys that was reminiscent of 19th century jerseys. Bold text with the Exclamation (!) T. The team this season also changed their STL emblem again. This season’s jerseys feature a bold red stripe along the edges of the collar. This red stripe wasn’t initially apparent, because players of this era often wore their collars popped up, which covered their neck and made it unable to see the red stripe. This red stripe is possibly limited to just the home uniforms.

  1. Ebbets Field Flannels sells a replica of those 1908 shawl sweaters. The are heavy and well made but do cost almost $400 but I love mine. Sure beats the hoodies Cardinals wear.

    1. I have seen those, but they used the first version of the logo we drew, shortly after we updated the logo to stand up taller and look nicer, but the old squattier version made it into MLB’s cooperstown collection, which is what retailers like Ebbet’s and M&N use.
