On March 31, 2007, in a final spring training game against the Cleveland Indians at AutoZone Park in Memphis, the Cardinals participated in the inaugural Civil Rights Game.
The uniform worn the Cardinals is a modern contrivance, we aren’t sure what it is based on. It simply featured block ST. LOUIS lettering on the shirt front, and some sort of StL emblem on the cap. Both logos are not found in the historical record. On the sleeve the was a Civil Rights Game patch.
