Following their World Series Championships in 2006 and 2011, the Cardinals wore uniforms for their home openers in 2007 and 2012 that featured gold trim.
The gold trim in 2007 is quite subtle, it was used as a border trim around the numbers, letters, and sleeve patch on the jersey, but was not featured on the Birds on the Bat. In 2012 the gold was more prominent, the Birds on the Bat logo had their beaks, bat, and Cardinals lettering replaced with gold, as well as the jersey’s numbers and letters, and the STL cap graphic also was shown in gold stitch.
