In 2017 Stance took over the contract to make socks for all MLB teams. The new socks added more design elements, with a darker red ankle portion thing, and STL logos on both legs facing outward. Stance would also join in on the many holiday uniform shenanigans.
The team introduced a logo for 2017 commemorating their 125th anniversary. This logo was not worn as a patch on the uniform. In regards to its claim of 125 years. 1892, as shown on the logo, was the first year the team played in the National League. The franchise was continuously operating in the American Association dating to 1882, making 2017 the 136th season.
On May 13th and 14th, the Cardinals wore Mother’s Day themed uniforms.
On May 16th the Cardinals wore 1967 throwbacks.
On May 27th, 28th, and 29th the Cardinals wore Memorial Day themed uniforms.
On June 17th the Cardinals wore Father’s Day themed uniforms.
On July 4th the Cardinals wore Independence Day themed uniforms.
On August 20th the Cardinals wore little league uniforms for the Little League classic.
On August 25th, 26th, and 27th the Cardinals wore the same little league uniforms for Player’s Weekend.
On September 1st the Cardinals wore a yellow Children’s Cancer ribbon patch.
On September 10th the Cardinals wore an American Flag memorial cap patch.
