In 2018 the Cardinals continued with their 5 uniform kits. On June 11th, following the passing of Red Schoendienst, the Cardinals wore Red Schoendienst memorial sleeve patches with a 2 and Red Schoendienst’s signature. The patches were white, cream, or gray to match the uniform they adorned.

Even In the few years before his passing, Red could be seen wearing full uniform, stirrups and all, hitting fungo at batting practice before every game.
