May 15, 2010 the Cardinals wore 1946 throwbacks for the Civil Rights Game. The Civil Rights Game logo was worn as a sleeve patch. It is important to note that the STL emblem worn on the cap for these throwbacks is not accurate and does not represent the STL emblem worn by the Cardinals in the ’40s. This particular STL logo was used by MLB for many years to represent 1940s Cardinals, but it is not an authentic recreation.
