Cardinals are wearing Mother’s Day accents today in San Diego. Amongst all of the custom shoes, compression sleeves, armbands, bats, and gloves, etc, there is the usual Mother’s Day pink ribbon being worn on the chest of the jersey, and as usual Stance has provided a new sock design. This year the socks look like vibrant pink tie-dye.

A couple interesting tidbits not related to the Cardinals in this game, it appears the pink Stance socks are not mandatory. Xander Bogaerts and Manny Machado of the Padres were observed wearing their standard brown socks today. It also seems the Padres might have modified their SD emblem on their batting helmets to be a light pink color instead of white or yellow.
