Last night began Armed Forces Weekend in Major League Baseball. The Cardinals trotted out in their Friday night City Connect uniforms, but with green armed forces hats, green camo gear such as compression sleeves and shoes, and armed forces camo socks.
The combination of bright cardinal red and drab pale army green was one of the ugliest things to ever be worn on a professional major league baseball field. This gear is expected to be worn all weekend, so we should see it Saturday with the home cream uniforms, and again Sunday with the home white sans Sunday Cap.
