The Cardinals have announced on their instagram page that the team will be wearing their road blue uniforms for a home game on Saturday July 25. This game is a scheduled giveaway day, giving away replica road blue uniforms, the team has decided they’ll also wear the blue uniforms during the game.
According to our research this will be the 3rd time in the modern era that the team has worn road uniforms as the home team. The last time the Cardinals wore a road uniform as the home team was at Rickwood Field against the Giants in 2024. The team also wore blue throwback uniforms on August 5, 2012 against the Brewers at Busch Stadium, which honored the 1982 World Series.
Side note, the image used on the Cardinals instagram post shows a blue jersey from 2025, the little collar seam is the tell.
