Today, 25 July 2026, the Cardinals are wearing their Saturday road blue alternates at Busch Stadium. This is part of a promotion that was announced at the beginning of July. This is the 3rd time in the modern era that the team has worn road uniforms as the home team. The last time the Cardinals wore a road uniform as the home team was at Rickwood Field against the Giants in 2024. The team also wore blue throwback uniforms on August 5, 2012 against the Brewers at Busch Stadium, which honored the 1982 World Series.
Another interesting tidbit about tonight’s game, the Cardinals are NOT wearing the Hall of Fame Weekend “throwback” cap. Very interesting! Maybe the team decided that the Cooperstown Caps didn’t match with the Victory Blues, or maybe they decided to forgo the Cooperstown caps for other reasons.
